Milestones

For more than 50 years now, the purpose of the Fritz and Margot Faudi Foundation has been to promote the development of methods for keeping air, soil and water clean and for environmentally friendly production and energy generation. Here is a look back at some of our milestones:

2022: “Implementing the energy transition technically”

On 10 June 2022, Dr Yvonne Späck-Leigsnering from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at TU Darmstadt was awarded the Faudi Foundation Prize for excellent research achievements in the field of energy conversion and energy transmission for the development of environmentally friendly processes. The prize, awarded for the second time, was presented on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Fritz and Margot Faudi Foundation and is endowed with 50,000 euros. Learn more

2013: “Entry in the Golden Book of Foundations of the City of Frankfurt”

On 23 January 2013, the Fritz and Margot Faudi Foundation was given the honour of signing the Golden Book of Frankfurt Foundations to mark its 40th anniversary. The award was presented by Prof. Felix Semmelroth, Head of Cultural Affairs of the City of Frankfurt am Main, in the Limpurgsaal of the Römer. As part of this successful event, the City of Frankfurt am Main honoured the promotion of innovative and application-oriented research projects.

2012: “In favour of clean air”

Prof Dr Andreas Dreizler from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU Darmstadt is the first recipient of the Fritz and Margot Faudi Foundation Prize, which the foundation established to mark its 40th anniversary. Professor Andreas Dreizler was honoured for his research into the development of environmentally friendly combustion processes. Learn more
